The purpose of the IP detection is primarily to inform the user of its IP address and as a visual deterrent for people who might be tempted to start abusing the system so whatever the route I take the login.tpl or maybe some other file needs to be modified so that the IP is displayed on screen unless of course you include those functions in COREbos and then it's only a matter of editing format/layout and text which is a trivial mod.
