Bio: The dip star is an oddity observed by Kepler. Its spectral fingerprints reveal a blue-hued star. Although dust tends to dim stars at blue wavelengths, it's not a solid object that will prevent light from reaching the star. However, the infrared data may help us determine the type of obstruction blocking the star's path. It should be hot enough to show excess infrared radiation.
