If you change a exists report, with customize button, options in step 5 - Calculations, not are recovered from BD.

System always shows all option with unchecked ( even that report has a option checked )

  Scheduler Reports
Posted by: rslemer - 01-06-2018, 11:52 AM - Forum: Administrator Support - Replies (20)

I wish when I send scheduled reports, a new option to include a URL for directly access to thats report.

For example

When I program a email, thru workflow, I can include a CRM Url, or Portal URL, for user access directly CRM,

Likewise, rather than only include PDF or Excel ( in attachment ), I wish include a thats Report URL.

My intention, is, user when receive a email, get information thru your access into CRM, for security reasons get the most updated information.

  CentOS7 VM Corebos File Permissions
Posted by: mweaver - 01-01-2018, 03:53 AM - Forum: Administrator Support - Replies (3)

Hi All... Happy New Year!

I've been doing some testing using VMs and I ran into something rather strange this morning. I've got a CentOS 7 VM that I'm testing PHP7, Wordpress and Corebos on. I got the basic system config setup and started testing. Wordpress is doing fine. So, the next step was to grab a fresh copy of Corebos from GitHub and run the install. The weird thing I saw was this:

  1. Set file ownership and permissions for the CoreBOS installation (owner apache.apache): Dirs 755 and file perms are set to 644
  2. CoreBOS basic file perms same as those being used by Wordpress apps.
  3. CoreBOS basic file perms same as production server.
  4. Apache service running as user apache and group apache.
So, I start the install, take care of the PHP requirements on the screen but the install screen is telling me that the file permissions aren't correct. It's telling me the files/directories aren't writable. these are the same permissions I'm using on the production server; also running CentOS 7, with one exception. The production server is running PHP 5.4.16.

Thinking this is a bit strange I chmod config.inc.php to 755 and then hit Check again, but it makes no difference.

Any idea why it would be complaining about file permissions like this when the only difference between this VM and the production server is the installation/version of PHP?

I also tried setting everything to 777 and got the same results... very strange.

IMAP (Webmail Module) not really working
Posted by: mweaver - 12-25-2017, 12:43 PM - Forum: Administrator Support - Replies (5)

I've been digging at this for days now. There's no reason or feedback that I can get that would let me know why I can't properly read/access an IMAP account with Mail Manager. While I was digging around today I checked the documentation site here: http://corebos.org/documentation/doku.php?id=en:install550&s[]=imap

I set about to go down through my PHP ini file to make sure all variables were set correctly. What I found was some were missing entirely from the ini file. As such there was nothing to set. This started me thinking... Are the docs written for a different version of PHP than what I'm running on CentOS 7 (CentOS Linux release 7.4.1708 (Core))? The I remembered something Joe said about a demo (test) install of CoreBOS he's got running on Mint Linux with PHP 7. Now, I'm really starting to wonder...

At any rate I made all the changes in my ini file I could. Now, Mail Manager makes the connection, shows me how many messages exist in the inbox, but doesn't display any folders. When I connect to my gmail account it shows all the folders but won't show any messages. To connect to my Exchange server via imap, or to the local Linux server I have to choose "other" as the account type.

I guess my question is this: What version of PHP is optimal for normal operation of CoreBOS 7? To be honest if I had to upgrade PHP 5.4.6 to PHP 7 on this CentOS 7 server I wouldn't be crazy about it, but because I depend on CoreBOS so heavily and I really like the application I'd do it. I just need to know if it's necessary or could I add those missing variables to the ini file of the current version of PHP?

Merry Christmas Everyone.

Help! How to Reset Menu to Default
Posted by: mweaver - 12-23-2017, 12:38 PM - Forum: Administrator Support - Replies (13)

I've done it now. This morning while working on a few things I wanted to make some minor changes to the menu. I wanted to hide a section (category) I never use and accidently hid a section I use constantly; Support.

How do I reset the menu back to it's default configuration?

I wondered how long it would take to get myself into trouble. I've had C7 running for a month.. guess it took all of a month.  Big Grin
