I agree with you is more powerful but is lot of work, create a bp for each field .... Because, I use a layout editor to created a field, type, mandatory, etc but not possible to check the size For that I should created a validation map ( ok, not is a big problem ) In my install, I has more than 200 custom field, in all modules ... If i will created a business map ( unique ) probably is to greater and not simple to do that, ( xml is a good tools, but only 1 wrong character tuned all code no effect .. ) Perhaps, at actual moment, is a transition, from older way to did things, to do the new way ... |
