That seems like exactly what I wanted. Will do ASAP and let you know. I really would like to learn more about the workflow expression engine, I tried adding a function like that myself, but since the engine augments the current_user variable temporarily when you use 'assigned_user' that didn't work (I mean using the __WorkFlowFunction__).

You are golden. Finally I don't have to hack this behaviour anymore. If you ever feel on doing a video on how the workflow expression engine generally works (the code): don't hesitate.
