Massage therapies were developed from an ancient Indian and Hindu medicine. They then became well-established Western medical and healthcare practice. The history of massage therapies goes back to around 3000 BCE (earlier) in India, when it was thought to be a divine natural system of healing. According to the legend, Lord Buddha once administered the King Ajatsatru that healed the sick King. According to the legend, the King returned from his journey with the good news that Ajatsatru had healed him, and so started the practice of rubbing body of the kings of the kingdom using herbs and oils to heal.
