I tried change many registry, field assigned to, in mass edition
System shows, "Saved" but not change a assigned to field and not show any error message ..
If I navigate one by one, system change without a problem

I just tried with 130 records and it did the change correctly. How many are "many" for you?
Activate the debug log, maybe you have some error....

I found some registry with a required field with no padding, plus I was surprised that it was displayed all as success ....
