Doubt - Report late tasks

I wish create a report with all task in the past ( late )

Problem is at report manager not is possible choose a "date in past"

Task has a status, but user need changed manually Status for later, to works

How I can do that?
Maybe create a workflow for updated each task and generated a report based on Status?
