Profile - lock change lastname

I want to create a specific profile, not will allowed for this user, make changes some fields of leads.

But lastname, not shows padlock (I think because it is a default field ..)

How can I lock, this kind of changes, for a specific profile and field?

Hi @rslemer,

This field is mandatory. That's why you can't apply the lock. You can do two things if you want.

1. Remove the required field option. This way you will have the lock accessible.
2. Implement at code level the read-only option for certain roles.

I know is mandatory, and not problem with that

But my scenario is lead is created thru webservices. I wish system not allowed user can made changes

Profile was my first option, but not allowed restrict changes, too.
