Hi. I am trying to use the coreBOS Webservice Development, to see that the webservices is connecting correctly to the application. I am doing it because I am having problems with the Customer Portal. In one of the posts I saw that Joe recommended testing it with this tool. But I couldn't make her walk either.

This one is quite complicated and took me a while to figure out. This explanation is hypothetical but realistic:

Let's say I create a checkbox on salesorders called 'check A'. I have user U that has profile P. Profile P does not have access to check A, so subsequently user U does not have access to check A. Now user U alters some ticket that is related to a salesorder. I, the admin, have a workflow installed on tickets that sets check A to 'true' when certain conditions on the ticket are met and triggers the workflows on the related record (so, the salesorder). Subsequently, I have a workflow on salesorders that monitors check A. When check A is changed to 'true', I want to send an e-mail. So basically, user U can do some work on a ticket that triggers a chain of events that in the end, sends an e-mail from a salesorder.

The above will only work when I give user U access to check A. I can make actions that user U does on a ticket alter check A, but the second part of the chain, monitoring whether check A has changed to true, requires access to check A I presume, which the workflow does not get (I think) since it is executed by user U, who is not allowed to access check A.

This is not a major problem, but does require me to present user U with fields they don't need and therefor confuse them, just to make my workflow work.

Hello, I am not being able to configure the mail manager. When I put the account data, it was saving and hung for a long time.

First of all, I am amazed and thankful for the system. I come from Vtiger 7.3.0, and really CoreBos, it is infinitely more complete. It is an excellent job that they have done.
I'm having some trouble to see if you can help me.
The Global Variables module is not working well for me.
For example SalesOrder_StatusOnInvoiceSave when putting DoNotChange, it keeps modifying the status of the sales order every time I make an invoice.

I also have problems with CobroPago_Invoice_Status_OnPaid, I put the status of the invoice when making a payment is PAID, however it does not make any changes.
On the other hand, I assume that the module works in a certain part, since what has to do with view of the lists, for example, works perfectly

Hi,
We have Find Duplicates option with later option to merge duplicates. That is great, but we can't filter duplicated candidates OR sort duplicated records results.
Maybe it would be possible to implement Merge selected records function after the filter is applied? I mean beside "Delete" "Mass edit", "Mass edit 1x1" to have one more additional button "Merge selected records" like it is done with selected records after Find Duplicates?

I am trying to customize the Opportunities ListColumns that should be listed in different modules in More Information tabs with Business Map. But it does not show any custom field values from Opportunity module and some default fields already existing in Opportunities.
The ListColumn map picks the correct column name, though.

Other ListColumns  BM work fine (i.e. SalesOrder in Account, PurchaseOrder in Products, etc.)

Also tested this on demo.corebos.com, which behaves the same as our copy.

Maybe I am doing something wrong?

I got a interesting question from a colleague. Would it be possible when you sort a filter(from the table's columns header) to have a visual separator(like a thicker line) when the sorted value changes? For example if you sort on a date field you'll get some marker in that list where the date changes to the next one.

If I will add to the display of related module (attach pic) the "cost" field, Will it display in the last line summery as it dose in "Amount".

It is not possible to save negative value in the cost an amount fields. The error is "Invalid Cost/Amount". How can I bypass it?

How can I disable Duplicate button in DetailView for some users? In my understanding duplication consists in creating a new entity with copied values. So by this logic if a user(his profile privileges) does not have 'create' privileges but have 'edit' privileges should not see the DUPLICATE button... which actually creates a entity. Right now that button is presented when 'edit' is available. Maybe sometimes that is desirable but maybe sometimes you really want to hide it.

I played with Record Access Control maps but it does not take that button/function in it's parameters
