I have set several profiles in accordance with how employees will be using/viewing/editing the database. One of the profiles I have created has power to create/Edit and view. In the Field & Tools Setting column basically all Fields are selected (=shown) and all fields except one can be edited. Reason I do that is because that field is temporary and contains raw data that will be used to populate other fields in the near future so I don’t want that field to be editable. Ok so here is the problem. When I log with the account associated to the profile I just described, and I try to edit a contact, while I am in edition mode the field that cannot be edited disappears (which somehow is logical). Consequently, all fields move one step and therefore it is confusing as all fields are now in places that the user is not expecting. Attached, screenshots.

This is not a bug per-say but rather a lack of code that makes readability difficult. My recommendation would be that while being in edition mode of a record, the non-editable field should be visible (but not editable) so that the whole table doesn’t move.

Hello; is there any setting to order the fields in CP? I want them to be same with the CRM order if possible.

Where to start from?
I tried to analyze the Yii and also investigated the MVC schemas.

Decided to start from Contacts controller but couldnt locate and help would be nice on the direction =)

We just finished changing the license of coreBOSCP, it is now officially GPLv3 and fully functional with all the necessary code changes and enhancements inside coreBOS.

In the next release of coreBOS all the changes will be installed by default, but, if you can't wait and download the latest code from GitHub, copy the file build/InstallRESTChanges.php to the root of your coreBOS install and execute it. That will install the new functionality for you.

Let us know if you try it! What you think and specially if you find any bugs.

But for me to move on with my own project I need 'coreBOSCPWS.zip' and couldnt find it although it is in installations manual.

I've tried updating an existing contact record by using the update example and changing the id's accordingly but the update fails with no error data. My Vtiger is v6.0. Is that the reason the update example doesn't work?

First of All, Greetings;
I am a post grad student in Toronto working on tailored web sites for my clients. One of my client requested me to create him a student management system. After lots of research and after 4 different set-ups.(Z0ho+J0tForm-Sug@rCRM-Suit@CRM-VTig@rv6.0)

What took me here is the requirement for the students to fill in their information into the system instead of a office lady.
My client wants the students to see their quotations, schedules, documents and also wants them to fill their profiles; this is where I get stuck with all other systems.

But seems like the coreBOSCP handles that problem for me if I could just set it up properly.

My current situation is :
I set up the crm under my hosting in GoDD and also created one more subdomain for CP itself.
crm.mydomain.com
portal.mydomain.com
After I login; /portal/index.php/site/login
I get a error saying : The requested module does not exist in vtiger CRM.
I just clean set-up a coreBOS 5.4.0. and CP under a different folder and changed the variables in a few files where I see necessary. I also dont have the required files in these explanations.
-download the set of changes coreBOSCPWS.zip and uncompress the file from the root of your coreBOS install
-apply the patch file coreBOSCPWS.diff which is now in the root of you install
-execute the script coreBOSCPWS.sql in your database to get the required database changes

Sorry for this big explanation; is there anyone available to guide me in this journey? Because I have never worked with any CRM other than Zoho before. My main language is asp and asp.net C# so also php makes it harder for me to understand.

I can give all the required information if anyone is available to help me; I am stuck =/
